Spawn Point

Streamed last night. It was glorious.

One of the things that has been defeating me when trying to get the project rolling is how I’ve fallen behind in some aspects. Making sure this new rig in this new location was working. Getting everything just perfect. The streaming drop frames….. there just seemed to be a lot of little problems that made it more of a drag than fun.

So it ended up taking a back seat.

But tonight was exactly what I needed to get started again. I found out where I was in my list. Which games I need to work on. The reviews I still need to write. Videos (if any) that I still need to post. And then I took the giant leap to see if the streaming setup was going to work.

I finished the night with over an hour of streaming time and less than 0.2% dropped frames. And that’s on my wireless connection. I was very happy. Maybe it was a fluke. But it has given me the power boost that I needed to push this ball up that hill.

The added bonus energy came from getting the new Nintendo Switch and just playing games more. I have Mariokart 8 and Mario Maker 2 at home. Breath of the Wild and Link’s Awakening are on the way. And I have my eye on Yoshi’s Crafted World. I got a chance to play online with a bunch of other people. And I picked up 17 new games at the local used game store before any self-quarantine or shelter-in-place rules hit.

Really, I’m just feeling really good about all this.

I did forget to record just the level play for Wrecking Crew, but it’s the first 25 levels. I know if was an hour to get through them, but I could probably do it again. And that will give me the opportunity to split up this game into 4 different videos to post for my completionist records.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by last night. I didn’t get a chance to acknowledge everyone because of TV to Chat Window placement. I’m going to see if I can adjust that before the next streaming session. Thanks for watching.
